2024 7th Annual Gene Montague Memorial 5k

Points count towards our Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series.  Points will also count towards our Summer Series.

Please note that Bishop’s Events promo/discount codes cannot be used to register for this event.

We look forward to seeing you on a fun course at Merchant Park in Dumfries (3944 Cameron St., Dumfries, VA 22026)!

Walkers are welcome to attend this event. Medals will be awarded for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place runners for male and female participants.

Virtual Race Option

We are also offering a virtual run option for those who cannot make it on race day. The Virtual Gene Montague 5K race window will be from August 21st to September 21st (Note: virtual race registrants are not eligible for medals).  Find more information about our virtual option on our Virtual Races page.

Runners Receive

Medal (only 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Runners receive medals – male and female), Technical (Dri-fit) Event Shirt (if registered by September 10), & A Chip Timed Event

Charity Information

Proceeds from this race will go toward Pi Labmda Lambda Chapter’s scholarship efforts for local high school students, as well as towards Chapter donations to local health events, such as the annual American Diabetes Association Step Out to Stop Diabetes. (Note: registrations for this race are not tax deductible)

5k – 8:30am – all runners and walkers

Registration Fees

The registration fee is $40 until September 1st when it increases to $45.  The race is capped at 300 runners — in-person and virtual — so register early!

T-shirts handed out on race day are for runners registered ON OR BEFORE Sept 10
