Memorial Day 4-Miler
Kick off the holiday with MCRRC’s annual Memorial Day 4-Miler, a nice, shady race through Rock Creek Park – but don’t get too comfortable. An uphill finish awaits you at the end!
The Memorial Day 4-Miler will be partnering with wear blue: run to remember, a national nonprofit running community that honors the service and sacrifice of the U.S. military. We run for the fallen, for the fighting, and for the families. We begin our event at 7:45 AM with a Circle of Remembrance and read aloud the names of the fallen, then we stride onward, becoming a living memorial honoring generations of heroes who have given their lives in service to our nation. wear blue invites runners and walkers to commit the miles that they run or walk this Memorial Day in honor of each service member killed.
